After a skiing accident it is sometimes necessary to be transported by the mountain rescue team (Bergrettungsdienst) from the scene of the accident down to the valley station of the ski lift. Frequently an ambulance is then needed for transport to a medical center of your choice. In order to be transported to the OrthoHaus you only have to notify either the paramedic or driver you want to come to us.
In order to reach the mountain rescue service in Austria you simply have to dial 140 (except in the Vorarl region you need to dial 14844).
If you have a no or poor wireless coverage area though your own network provider, call the European emergency number 112, this automatically identifies a network provider.
The local number of the emergency rescue service is also often present on your ski ticket. Else, you can notify a ski lift operator and they will call the rescue team for you.
